Libraries for Learning
Library and Information Services
Libraries for Learning supports your studies at Derby College
Group (DCG) by providing access to a wide range of academic
resources, study spaces, and expert support
There are Library Services available at:
• Broomfield Hall
• Ilkeston
• The Joseph Wright Centre
• The Roundhouse
Each library offers facilities to support both independent
and collaborative study. These include quiet and group study
areas, desktop computers and/or laptops, and printing and
scanning facilities.
Library Services
The Library Team is here to support you throughout your
time at Derby College and help you make the most of library
services and resources.
You will be supported by friendly and knowledgeable staff
who can help you access and use library resources effectively,
including borrowing materials, reserving items, and making
use of electronic resources.
We offer support with:
• Finding and accessing resources to support your learning.
• Answering basic IT queries.
• Using printing, copying, and scanning facilities.
We also support you in developing the skills needed for
independent learning, including using library systems and
accessing the right information for your course.
