Accessing Library Resources Online
Derby College Libraries provide a range of online tools to help
you find and use resources easily, whether you are studying on
campus or remotely.
Library Catalogue
The library catalogue allows you to search for both physical
and electronic resources, including books and eBooks. You can
check availability, explore materials relevant to your course,
and manage your borrowing in one place. Additionally, our one
search feature connects you to external resources like Gale,
TED Talks and Google Scholar, taking you straight to relevant
results in one place.
Library SharePoint
The Library SharePoint page brings together key information
and resources. From here, you can:
• Access your course reading lists.
• Find links to electronic resources, including eBooks
and databases.
• View guidance on using library services and resources.
• Access to study guides and research support.
• You will also find information on:
• Assistive technology and accessibility support,
including a dedicated area with guidance on using tools
such as screen readers and magnification software,
accessing materials in alternative formats, and information
on equipment, software, and library provisions available.
• Guidance on the ethical and responsible use of AI,
including when and how AI can be used to support
your learning.
